Trend Micro: Android More Than Weak IOS

SAN FRANCISCO - Trend Micro antivirus manufacturers claim if the Android mobile operating system is more vulnerable to attack than the IOS platform. "Android is a platform based on open-source software. This means that hackers can understand the patterns of architecture and source code of that platform," said Trend Micro's chairman, Steve Chang, was quoted by Bloomberg, on Wednesday (01/12/2011).

Chang further added that smartphone users should give 'thumbs up' for Apple because the company Steve Jobs is considered to have provided an excellent security system in the IOS. "We guarantee, it is impossible for most types of the virus to operate and launch attacks into the iPhone," said Chang. As is known, Google has developed an operating system named Android and offer it for free and allow developers to access the android code. While Apple requires developers to obtain permission prior to market their applications on the Apple Store. But Trend Micro claims it had denied Google. According to Google, on all computers, users have to 'check' at least some information to developer applications that are used. "Android has taken steps to inform users about this trust relationship and limit the amount of trust that users should be given to each application developers," said Google's party. Chang argues, within the next few years, Google's smartphone users will start buying security software for their devices. "Smartphone is the next generation PC. Once the device was adopted by the company, the loss of data would be a matter of considerable importance," said Chang. Previously, Trend Micro has also launched a Mobile Security for Android, the software can be installed on the phone to block the entry of viruses, malicious programs, or any unwanted calls.
