Hacker sues Sony PlayStation 3 breaker

Jakarta - Lawyers for Sony Computer Entertainment (SCEA) San Franciscoasking the court to stop, and take firm measures against a group of people whobreak into the PlayStation 3 (PS3).
In the indictment SCEA prosecute George Hotz (known as Geohot) previouslysuccessfully break into the iPhone, and Hector Martin Cantero, Sven Peter, andseveral other hackers who are members of the group Failoverflow.


The hackers are in demand on the charge of violation of the Digital MillenniumCopyright Act, fraud and misuse of computers, coupled with California's copyrightinfringement, breach of contract, and several other violations. In addition, SCEA also asked the court to stop the circulation of source code, and any software that can be used to break into the PS3.
Hotz are taking it as the first person to break into the PS3 was not scared, he evenstill want to continue to launch its action indulgence in PS3-related informationprotection.
"After consultation with the legal team, I decided to keep running the spread ofinformation and jailbreak," said Hotz, quoted from PCMag, Thursday (13/01/2011).
