Intel Budgeted USD 5 Billion to build new factory

CALIFORNIA - Intel announced that they will invest more than $ 5 billion to build new plant in Arizona, USA.
The announcement was made by Paul Otellini, CEO and President of Intel, when theU.S. president, Barack Obama, a visit to one of its facilities in Oregon territory.Similarly, as quoted from Cellular News, on Saturday (19/02/2011).
Intel says that its new plant in Arizona will be the most advanced. Abru plant construction are expected to start in the middle of this year and be completed in 2013.
"This investment positions our factory network positioned for growth in the future,"said Brian Krzanich, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel.
More than three per emopat Intel's sales came from outside the U.S.. Intel producesthree-quarters of them in the U.S. microprocessor. The addition of this new plant will certainly enhance the production capability of the company significantly.

Intel CEO: PC Sales Will Not Die

CALIFORNIA - Intel CEO Paul Otellini dismissed claims that the traditional PC market is slowly became cornered by a steady attack ARM-powered chip-basedtablets and slender. According to him, the PC still prospective.
"The claim said that the die and tablet PCs will take over, because there is no growthin the PC market, well, I reject it and just say 'sleep' it," said Otellini, as reported byReuters on Thursday (21/02/2011) .
Otellini also noted that ARM does not actually produce its own chips based on RISC,because the processors are routinely churned by the 1200 license holders.
"There is no consistency architecture. This is because it requires large expensivecost, and work hard to create persistence in architecture more than a fewgenerations," he said.
In addition, Otellini seemed somewhat affected by the attacks ARM tentatively into theserver market and argues that "AMD is much more powerful" as a competitor rather than ARM own server.
"I really do not see the near future ARM has the capability of software, computerarchitecture, performance of the transistor to be a factor in the server," he said.
As we all know, Intel is also trying his luck in the processor market tablet, bypresenting Oak Trail, as a special chip tablet. Previously also, Intel is developingMeeGo, although later dumped by Nokia who choose Windows Phone 7.
