TOKYO - Japanese electronics company, Sharp, sued manufacturers from Taiwanflat panel, AU Optronics Corp. Sharp claim, AU Optronics has violated patent productliquid crystal display (LCD) them.
As reported by 6 News, Tuesday (25/01/2011), Sharp filed a lawsuit against the United States International Trade Commission (USA) and demanded ban on the sale of products of LCD panels and LCD module, which is used in LCD television andcomputer screens, throughout the continental U.S..
In addition, Sharp also filed a lawsuit against AU Optronics in Delaware District Courtasking for damages for patent infringement.
Following the suit, AU Optronics was the official remarks, though did not commentdirectly on the claims Sharp.
"We respect the intellectual rights of third parties. We also expect other parties to respect our intellectual property, and we will protect the interests of enterprises andconsumers with the best," AU Optronics said in a statement.
