TAIPEI - Manufacturer Blackberry, Research In Motion (RIM), apparently stillcomfortable with a Qwerty keypad design and does not intend to rely on the touch screen too much this year.
This was stated by the source manufacturer who receives an order from RIM. The company originated from Taiwan manufacturer that claims to have a list of product portfolio that will digelontorkan RIM in 2011. It is quoted by Digitimes, Wednesday(01/26/2011).
According to these sources, amid onslaught of smartphones and tablet touch screenand had a virtual keypad, RIM would prefer to retain its distinctive characteristics,qwerty keypad. While Apple, Samsung and other smartphones are beginning to switch to a touch screen.
Blackberry Smartphone has a vast potential market in Asia and the Pacific. Even RIMhas managed to master the smartphone market in Indonesia and is still able to increase brand awareness in China and India.
In China alone RIM has been a partner with two major operators, China Mobile andChina Telecom. They say they also will hold another operator, China UnitedTelecommunications, in the first quarter 2011.
Presented RIM VP Asia Pacific, Norm Lo, RIM is now working with 600 mobile operators or retail network in approximately 175 countries to market their Blackberrysmartphones. In addition to the Blackberry, RIM will be ready to market the PCPlaybook.
