Google officials said they must continue to hire computer experts as well as the bestsales force to maintain dominance as the number one internet search engine as well as their income.
Google's plan was disclosed to The Associated Press on Wednesday (26/01/2011).Google targets to recruit more than 6200 employees is the highest after 2007, theyadd 6131 workers.
Last year Google hired at least 4600 new employees thereby increasing theirworkers to 24,400.
Google did not specify how many of the vacancies were to be stationed at theirheadquarters in the United States. However, Google CEO, Eric Schmidt claims willrecruit more than 1,000 employees in Europe.
Vice president of engineering and research, Alan Eustace, claiming this would be thebiggest recruit in the history of Google. "We will recruit as many creative people toface serious challenges in the computer industry," he said as quoted by the StraitsTimes.
