At last summer, Microsoft announced that it has shipped 175 million licenses of Windows 7. Well, after a year since officially sold to the retail market, how Microsoft'snewest operating system to sell it?
In a recent quarterly report revealed that Microsoft says that his company has sold300 million licenses of Windows 7.
"Sales of 300 million licenses of Windows 7 is a combination of sales from thesegment of households in North America and Europe alone," explained Brandon LeBlanc Windows officials, as reported by AP, on Saturday (29/01/2011).
"Or, in other words, if you drill a 300 million boxes of Windows 7, the length wouldstretch almost 1.5 times around the Earth," he said.
LeBlanc also reported that more than 20 percent of Internet-connected PC in the world runs Microsoft's latest iteration of Windows. This is up from 16 percent when hereported in July last year.
