JAKARTA - Microsoft is ready to answer doubts about the performance security in cloud-computing service from them. John Galligan, Director of Internet Policy for Microsoft Asia Pacific, in the event 'Microsoft's Cloud Summit 2011', Jakarta (20/01/2011), said that security in the cloud is to apply some level of protection which include the management of policies, rules, periodic evaluations about practices, and capabilities internally and externally. Cloud-computing performance is often attributed to the availability or adequacy of bandwidth and are generally feared by developing countries who feel inadequate infrastructure. Galligan explained that if issues like that then Microsoft could provide direct compensation to the user. Consumers must be protected by Microsoft's Cloud Cloud Service Level Agreements. "But in fact the weakest point of the cloud-computing is the human / user itself. For example WikiLeaks case, it's because there are people from a government which was deliberately leaked it," said Galligan. Many say that Cloud is considered could lead to complexity for policy makers because it mentioned a variety of complex issues such as technology issues, social and political. The problem can vary greatly, such as broadband access, security and cyber-crime, privacy and data management. "This is an opportunity for Cloud to bring together governments and vendors to discuss this issue," said Galligan. "The presence of cloud-computing opens a tremendous opportunity to help transform business, government and citizens," said Galligan. Galligan also explained that it is important for policy makers in each country to ensure that their domestic policies for the adoption of technology neutral shades, not only for memmnuhi economic needs, but also provide opportunities for local companies to take maximum benefit from the cloud- computing.
